Sep. 21st, 2005 05:39 pmHurricane Rita's central pressure is down to 904 mb, having dropped 10 mb in an hour. That, in case you didn't know, would be a record. It also places Rita as the fifth strongest Atlantic hurricane on record based on pressure measurements.
Katrina was number four at 902 mb.
If you are in the path of this storm, you should be busy being somewhere else. Right now, that looks like the Texas coast in the vicinity of Houston, but hurricanes have been known to zig and zag.
