Doggy Thoughts

I was driving to work this morning (gray, miserable, thinking about raining Monday) and glanced over to the left as I was preparing to change lanes. There was a dog in the car next to me, hanging his head out the window, with that deliriously happy doggy look that says "I'm riding in a car and hanging my head out the window!"

I turned to Gretchen and said, "Ok, where did that bit of genetic programming come from? I've never seen a dog that didn't behave like that."

She was as bemused as I was. So I turn the question over to you...
