Odd Cubs and Con Coincidence
Sep. 28th, 2003 09:09 pmIn the unlikely (but not impossible) event that the Cubs make it to the World Series, games 1 and 2 will be played on Saturday and Sunday of ConClave where Gretchen and I will be doing our annual SpaceTime Theater show. Games 6 and 7 (if needed) will be played on Saturday and Sunday of OVFF where I'm the guest of honor. Games 3, 4, and 5 will be played on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the intervening week.
Normally, the National League would have home field advantage this year. But because this is the first year that the winner of the All Star Game gets the home field advantage in the World Series and because the AL won the All Star Game, they've got home field advantage. Which means that the three NL home games are being played on dates when I would actually be in town to see them.
As a dedicated Cardinals fan, there's only one thing I can say:
Go Cubs!
