One of the Hazards of Being a Baseball Fan

One of the hazards of being a baseball fan is that one of your favorite players might leave your favorite team through free agency. And so here I am, watching the sports reports on line, waiting to see if Albert Pujols stays with the Cardinals. And it looks like we'll have an answer sooner rather than later.

But maybe not tonight.

Well, Garry Templeton came up just after we moved to southwestern Illinois when I was a lad; while I was sad to see him go to the Padres, that turned out rather nicely. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I don't want to see Albert in a Cubs uniform (you may feel somewhat differently).

Oh, no. I would much rather that Albert stay in a Cardinals uniform for the duration.

Of course, I'm a Cardinals fan. :)
