Halion, Halion, Where Do You Roam?

billroperI picked up a copy of Halion Sonic when I upgraded Cubase recently to see what I could do with the MIDI stuff contained within. The phrase "slow and painful" is coming to mind.
On the other hand, I did get it to make noise. It could charitably be called "music".

Date: 2011-11-02 10:45 am (UTC)Reaper can (just) handle midi... sort of. The problem is it plays back in a series of tuneful beeps. Not really what one would want for recording.
It can work with VSTis (a plug-in that mimics a MIDI instrument) but I can't figure out enough about that to get it to work. At least, not in a reasonable amount of time.
I hope Halion Sonic works better for you.
