Wind and Rain
Jun. 21st, 2011 08:57 pmThe severe thunderstorm passing overhead has set the lights flickering and knocked out our DirecTV reception, so I'm distracting the girls with a pre-recorded copy of Wipeout.
With any luck, we won't wipeout. :)

A foolish thing was but a toy
And the rain it raineth every day.

That's the first verse of Feste's Song that ends "Twelfth Night". Here it is sung by Ben Kingsley (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muVjxyhIQ8g&feature=related) on YouTube (5:30). Most of the song is in the first two minutes or so, but it's worth watching through the next indoor scene -- a continuation of the theme -- to see and hear his last verse, overlooking the sea. I don't think you need the closing credits, though their music is still good. -- This is a different tune than the one I learned from my father. I'm sure there are a great many.
