After yesterday's orgy of cleaning, we took advantage of the state of the place to have samwinolj, Bonnie, jeff_duntemann, and his nephew Brian over for dinner. The weather was good, if a bit chilly, so we grilled hamburgers for the first time in the season. The other impetus for this was finding sweet corn on sale at the store at six ears for two dollars, which is an excellent price for mid-April.

Now, if we could just convince the calendar that summer had actually arrived...

So Tucson doesn't share Albuquerque's spring? (I grew up in Albuquerque).

In Albuquerque, spring is when Arizona and parts of California relocate to Texas by passing through - mostly in the form of sand, dust and quite often pollen.

The current running joke is that Spring is that time where the temperature can be 36 degrees at night and 90 by day (or the time of year where you can see both temperatures within 48 hours at least. That level of volatility thankfully only lasts two weeks or so.
