When Hardware Just Hates Me
Mar. 18th, 2011 11:58 pmSo before buying the new motherboard and OS, I figured I should check and make sure that my recording software, Cubase and Wavelab, would run properly on a 64-bit version of Windows 7. And they're documented to do so.
If only I had thought to check on the status of drivers for my elderly RME Digi9652 card. It turns out that there are no Windows 7 64-bit drivers for this card.
So I either need to get a different OS or I need to get a new ADAT interface. I'm thinking the new interface is the better idea.
Just not a cheap idea.
