When Hardware Just Hates Me

So before buying the new motherboard and OS, I figured I should check and make sure that my recording software, Cubase and Wavelab, would run properly on a 64-bit version of Windows 7. And they're documented to do so.

If only I had thought to check on the status of drivers for my elderly RME Digi9652 card. It turns out that there are no Windows 7 64-bit drivers for this card.

So I either need to get a different OS or I need to get a new ADAT interface. I'm thinking the new interface is the better idea.

Just not a cheap idea.

Oh Boy!!! I am finally up and running with my new Project Mix Board with the help of Sue!
You woulr think all you had to do is plug the new board in where the old one did and everything would be fine :-P NO!!!!!!! Looking forward to seeing you at FKO and Dave arrives here soon.

Yes, it happens with appalling frequency. It's one of the reasons that I like outboard gear...

The old card is pretty old, but I didn't even stop to think that they wouldn't have drivers for it. *sigh*

Does a Vista 64bit driver exist? Sometimes that will work on Windows 7 64 bit.
