During this time when comment notification on LJ appears to be completely broken, it's sad to note that I am getting more comments that are spam than comments that come from human beings. This brings up the interesting question of whether the spammers are human beings.

I'm thinking of voting "No" on that one.

*hug* (from someone who is not spam)

Comment notification *appears* to still be working for me. Which is good because my spam shows up sometimes on really old posts that I wouldn't be checking...

I'm not having any problem with comment notification. I'm being notified of spam comments quite regularly. It's usually check email, learn of spam comment, bring up LJ, log on, deal with spam comment.

I'm not even sure I would classify the organic spammers as being human.

I've been getting a lot of spam on my older posts, too. Which, from a marketing standpoint, might mean that I might not notice the ads, and they'd stay up if I weren't notified, but also means that most people would never see them anyhow.
