This blogger claims that he was among a group of ten people standing at his polling place in Chicago who had been removed from the big book of registered voters in his precinct. By odd coincidence, all ten were Republicans, nine of whom had voted in the Republican primary earlier this year.
Eventually, he got to cast a provisional ballot after spending some time at the Cook County Board of Elections.

Date: 2004-11-03 01:28 am (UTC)Although I already knew the Chicago Democratic machine was corrupt. My questino is: why? Why does a party, in a city that overwhelmingly supports it, have to resort to fraud? It makes no sense to me. What am I missing?
