Were you ever plugged in the first place?

Actually, I wasn't plugged in, but the album had a number of backup parts (including a drum machine) that will most likely vanish in this release, leaving it pretty thoroughly unplugged. :)

I think you look more resigned than grim, but the cover is still great! I would probably use a brighter color for the text and lose the black outline. Perhaps also an Old English Calligraphy--or even a Germanic calligraphy--font would also reinforce the irony of calling yourself the Grim Roper, and then wearing a pleasant blue robe and playing guitar for children on a sunny day in the back yard.

I thought about using an Old English style font, but didn't have one handy. All of the lighter-weight fonts that I looked at were hard to read, so I'm afraid that the Old English font would suffer from the same problem, although it would be highly stylish. :)

I need some outlining on the letters to keep them from going wonky in the printing process, but I'll look at cutting the stroke in half and see how it comes out. Thanks!

Try a white drop shadow on the lettering, with a fair bit of blurring and some transparency (Paint Shop Pro terminology: I don't know what other programmes call it). I've found it can make text stand out without being too obtrusive.
