The Last Bottle

We've been trying to figure out how to get Katie to stop demanding a bottle of formula at night when she goes to bed. Tonight, we're trying a new tack. The very last of her can of formula will make what should be her very last bottle.

And then if she wants something to drink, she's getting a sippy cup of milk. Perhaps a warm cup of milk, but milk it will be.

We hope. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

When I was going through this with Alex, I'd warm it and put in a few drops of vanilla. It got him off of the bottles, but it took years to get him off the sippy cups.

Are you trying to end her consumption of formula or her use of bottles? Both?

Ideally, both.

At the moment, we would settle for switching her off of formula. It's already dilute formula (about 40% of full strength), but she's reaching an age where she should have been "weaned" by now. :)
