daisy_knotwise dropped me, Katie, and Julie off at home and headed off to Target to pick up some supplies for whl who, unfortunately, finds himself in the hospital waiting for test results.
When Gretchen got back, we changed clothes and headed off to the pool where a lot of splashing around occurred. Later, I took the trowel and dug a "river" in the really big sandbox there to carry water all the way to the edge from the pools in the middle. I eventually got a lot of help on this project from an assortment of kids with shovels. :)
After that, we headed home, changed again, and went to Perry's for dinner. I got my BBQ pizza fix, Gretchen got fish and chips, and Katie got a cheese-free kid-size pepperoni pizza. :) (Julie, on the other hand, ate everyone's food except her own. *sigh*)
We're home now watching the news during a pledge break on PBS. Julie is sound asleep; Katie is munching grapes from the earlier Sam's Club run.
Overall, a pretty good way to spend a day of a holiday weekend. :)
