I'm going to be working at home tomorrow, as daisy_knotwise is taking Katie to a class, so I've set up my work laptop, logged into the VPN, logged into my desktop using Remote Desktop, and am now copying nine gigabytes of files from a server in the Loop to my desktop so that they'll be there tomorrow. This is quite a silly process overall. And it will, no doubt, get sillier when they close my office.

Will those 9 GB of files have to be synchronized with the ones in the office? Will they be maintained somewhere else (California?) when the office closes? I might use a stronger word than silly.
