A Swinging Time

daisy_knotwise went to the very long Capricon board meeting and wrap up today while I watched Katie and Julie. This worked reasonably well. I took the girls to McDonald's for lunch, giving Katie a chance to run amok in the Play Place. Then we went to the park where I got to introduce Julie to the swings. She seemed to enjoy them. :)

Maybe daisy_knotwise can answer a question for me: Why is it called Capricon?

Originally, it was a play on the movie, Capricorn One. The idea was that the con would change its name each year, counting up through numbers, much like the British Filkcon does.

By the time Capricon One was over, that scheme was heading for the dustbin. :)
