Cramp

Every so often when I'm lying in bed, I twitch my calf in the wrong direction and it cramps. If I very carefully flex my ankle in the right direction, I can ease the cramp out.

This morning in my sleep-befogged state, I flexed my ankle in the wrong direction.

Ow, ow, ow!

Needless to say, this woke up [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise.

I have just about walked the cramp out now. I'll try not to do that again.

This is going to sound very weird, but here it is. I get calf cramps in bed, too, and some years back I learned a technique that helps ease them. As soon as the pain hits, take your upper lip between thumb and forefinger and squeeze. I have no idea why it works.

Because men tend to often confuse 'below the waist' with 'above the neck'?
