Heh.The age of leaving napping behind may be upon you soon. Mine only kept it up for a while at home, though I understand they napped for longer at nursery under the influence of a room full of children napping. Amy definitely gave this up even at nursery sometime in her second year - she found that if she refused to sleep they would let her go play with the bigger kids and after that happened once the nap was history. On the other hand if she will stay in her room while failing to nap I reckon you're still on to a winner.
Ah yes the no nap, nap. This is a constant struggle for us with Alex. He desperately needs a nap, you can tell by how whiny and ornery he becomes, be he suffers from a severe case of FOMS.
David has recently (like, in the last month) decided that he Will Not Nap. I'm still insisting on "quiet time" while Michael is napping (his are getting shorter, too!).
Heh, I don't know about the kids, but, heck, _I_ still need a nap!
"You don't have to go to sleep, you just have to rest until the hands on the clock say "___". Welcome to the introduction to telling time. An old fashioned Big Ben works fine. We started with a paper plate with numbers and hands drawn to the appointed time. When the clock was at that time, then rest time was over. Many days resulted in naps.
