And today, I got an LJ message from a fellow who has mistaken me for the fellow by the same name who produces video games. I've explained that he's gotten the wrong person. :)

It's not the first time this has happened to me -- the Marcon program book once had the same confusion. I was wondering why this young man came up to me asking me to say such and such a line. Apparently, it's from one of the video games.

There is another Gary Ehrlich in my county who at one point was the coordinator of a Jewish singles bike group. I got the occasional phone call for him. These were particularly funny after the_sheryl moved in with me. I think I may have even gotten at least one after we were engaged!
