Yesterday at Sam's Club, I picked up a 350 tablet box of their house-brand version of Zyrtec for $17.12. That sort of beats the $19.99 for 90 pills that I was paying for the Walgreen's house-brand version by a lot. Like by enough to pay for the Sam's Club card for a year with cash left over.

In other news, Gas War Alley's being beaten out on prices lately by the dueling Shell and BP stations across the street from each other near where I work, just inside Cook County. As of today, they're down to $3.359. That's down about a dollar a gallon from just a few months ago.

Much like my 401(k).

The problem is that it takes a lot longer to fill up the 401(k)...

It's called 'Aller-tec,' there are 300 pills -- and they're $16.

That's right, $16. For a _YEAR._

(Zyrtec, OTOH, is about $16 for 150 days.)

Generic win!

Thanks so much.

When I first refilled my Zyrtec after it went generic (all those TV ads saying how great this was ...) I was dismayed to find that the price was higher than my co-pay had been before.

Definitely have to get to Costco next week.
