The Best Laid Plans

billroper(Actually, if the plans were better laid, there'd probably be fewer problems, but that's the way it goes.)
We had a good turnout for the mailing meeting last night -- something on the order of twenty of us. But there was a problem. Lanny had the progress report printed at a Kinko's in Hyde Park, which is about as far as you can get from here and still be in the city of Chicago. He'd paid to have them stapled and folded, but when inspecting samples, discovered that the folding machine had been misadjusted and that a large chunk of the mailing was no good. He grabbed one box and they promised to send the rest of the mailing along with a messenger service shortly.
The rest of the mailing arrived in a cab at 11:30 after everyone had left. The good news is that there are only about 200 pieces left to stamp and mail. I guess we'll take a chunk of the rest of them to Worldcon...
Moronically, I then stayed up until 3 AM playing silly computer games.
The contractor arrived to work on the bathroom at 9 AM.
I know better than this. I really do.
