TJ recruited me to run a bardic circle at LACon back in 1984 when PPP was in vogue out there. I started by putting my guitar away for the night (the better to moderate with, my dear), then explained to people that if they were not ready to Pick, Pass, or Play when my moving finger came past them, I would skip them and move onto the next person in this really big circle.
