Chuffing Along At Work

billroperI'm making progress on my big project here at work. I've almost got the conversion from the old format for subaccounting to the new format working, but there's one last glitch that I need to sort out. (Until I find the next glitch...) But it's after 6 PM on Friday and I'm really ready to go home.
Except there's that danger that the baby might pop over the weekend, in which case I'd really like the laptop to be up-to-date. This means I have to check in the dozen or so files that I've changed -- at ClearCase's stunningly swift about-one-minute-per-file rate -- and then run the update on the laptop so that it has all the latest changes -- which will probably take another half an hour after that.
If this were a competently designed version control system, I could be home by now...
