Apparently, there was a magnitude 5.2 earthquake about 230 miles south of us in southeastern Illinois at about 4:35 AM.

We slept through it.

Local news reports indicate that it was a dish rattler in our neighborhood, but not enough to wake us up. The cat, on the other hand...

Our cats also seemed quite upset this morning. (I slept through it, Randy and Shaina did not.)

Fafrhd was crankier than usual this morning, I slept through it also here in bloomington, probably halfway between you and the epicenter.

I slept through it and only learned about it from this morning's news. One of that magnitude I'd have noticed if I'd been awake--have in the past--but not when asleep.

They say that animals can sense when earthquakes are coming, so maybe that's why he woke you up.

We had tremors here, too. I didn't feel it, but, working third shift, I heard about it on the radio as I was finishing up my day.
