You know that you're in serious need of caffeine when you're eating chocolate because you want to knock down the caffeine deprivation headache that you've got.
Unfortunately, according to a food magazine I read at my mother-in-law's place, your average chocolate bar contains about as much caffeine as a cup of decaf coffee.
why not drink some caffeine? are you quitting? if not, you know No Doz is much less fattening than chocolate. or course then you'll need to take soething for upset stomach...
OK, as others have said and I've heard before, chocolate shouldn't work. Did it? Maybe part psychosomatic or you needed sugar? FYI, I went through a week of headaches when I swore off caffeine and after that even 1/2 a glass of cola would wire me. Matter of fact, I do better keeping awake without caffeine than I ever did with it. Now, if you just love coffee that's another problem. :-)
Well, we weren't actually snowed in, but we had company over at the time (she was on the other computer checking something while I typed that) and I didn't want to run out just to grab a soda.
Later, I found a good excuse to go to the grocery store. :)
Yeah, on weekends I end up brewing tea so I won't trigger a headache from *not* having my morning cup of coffee ambition I imbibe at work. If I pick Lady Gray or English Breakfast, I won't need to sweeten it, keeping my blood sugars on an even-er keel. But my, a chocolate bar sounds *good* right now!
