Rip That CD

daisy_knotwise headed off to do some shopping and left me with Katie taking a nap. I took advantage of the opportunity to rip some more albums to my new MP3 player. It's almost half full now and I'm starting to correct some of the imbalances.

Three copies of "Don't Fear the Reaper" is too many though...

(The hazards of having ripped a number of different collections of classic rock.)

The champion appears to be the six copies of "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)", which seems to have been on every multi-CD greatest hits collection. *sigh*

What MP3 player did you get?

The new Creative Zen 16 GB flash player. It was on sale at Amazon after Christmas for $50 off, which brought it close enough in price to the 8 GB player that it seemed reasonable to get it. And since the 8 GB player would already be full...

I did just delete 200 duplicate copies of songs. (Same title, same artist, same recording.) I haven't yet purged the Beatles, CSN, Association, or Stray Cats, as I need to do a bit of checking on those and I was doing this without headphones.
