The First Casualty of the New Year

I went out with our recently tuned up snowblower to clear the driveway. Unfortunately, the silly thing stopped running about a third of the way through the job and stubbornly refused to restart.

Fortunately, the third of the driveway that I had cleared with the snowblower was the middle third, so I could use the snow shovel in pusher mode to get the other edges and sidewalk clear. The offending snowblower is now in the back of daisy_knotwise's minivan for a trip back to the shop that tuned it up.

In better news, Katie seems to be feeling better. I'm hoping this sticks. I've now had three unscheduled wardrobe changes in the last three days...

Sorry you weren't able to make it last night, you were missed. But I'm glad Katie is feeling better.

Well, last night couldn't have gone down cleavage in any case, as it was more a case of diarrhea while sitting in the crook of Daddy's arm. Fortunately, it was the leather chair, so that was easier to clean. The entire left side of my shirt, not so much. (I originally typed "shit" instead of "shirt", which was one of those entirely accurate Freudian slips.)

We would have loved to have been there, but Katie wouldn't have had a good time, nor would anyone else, I suspect, once she erupted. :)
