Digging a Hole

billroperWe moved into this house nearly eight years ago and the first thing I had to do was to install a mailbox on a post beside the street. I did it pretty badly and the thing has been wobbling steadily (that seems like a contradiction in terms) ever since. Rather than try to resuscitate the current box with chipping paint, we decided to start from scratch.
So I bought an annoyingly expensive aluminum post and mailbox, went home, read the instructions, grabbed the posthole digger and went to work. With some help from Gretchen, we now have a nice, new mailbox on a nice, new post.
Which may be too close to the street. And sunk in cement.
If it has to be moved, I'm hiring a handyman, because my muscles ache just thinking about it.
