It's Thanksgiving here and we'll shortly be heading out to a relative's for dinner (early dinner, but dinner nevertheless). And it reminds me that [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise and I are thankful for having survived the last year of health problems, that we have a good place to live, and good friends.

And a daughter who's now having her second Thanksgiving.

Not too shabby.

Will Katie get a turkey drumstick to gnaw on? That's traditional for the babies in my family. Make sure a camera is handy.

Happy Thanksgiving !!!!!

Hi Bill,
I spent most of yesterday poking aroung with CuBase and the M-Audio Board software and got everything to work. I recorded a bass track and it sounded good through the head phones when I was recording it but on play back throught the head phones plugged in to the M-Audio Board I am hearing crackling noises. I had to pull the trim back to minimal in order for it to not clip when recording so it doesn't appear to be clipping. Any suggestions here? I am going to try my acoustic bass next and a different guitar cord to see if that is the problem. I know bass is difficult to record and maybe I need to run it through compression first. Thanks for the help Bill.

Or maybe she was holding out for pumpking pie?

My 18-month-old great-nephew evaded the issue by sleeping through dinner; thus giving his mother one more thing to be grateful for.
