Back From WindyCon
Nov. 11th, 2007 10:29 pmYou'd think it wouldn't take so long to get home from WindyCon. :) But we went out to dinner with
catalana at Sweet Baby Ray's during a Bears game, so service was (understandably) a little slow.
I had a generally good time at the con. I did bail on the open filk on Saturday night in favor of conversation, as it went pretty aggressively folky, which wasn't what I was in the mood for, although most of the folks there seemed to be having a good time. And I'm willing to bow to the will of the majority, as long as they don't insist that I be there. :)
Sales were so-so, but attendance was down a bit, not surprising, as most everyone has had enough of the Wyndham O'Hare. But we have a new hotel next year.
Y'all come back now, hear?

Date: 2007-11-12 07:53 pm (UTC)Second, does the new hotel have shuttle service to O'Hare?

Date: 2007-11-12 08:37 pm (UTC)Um, let's see:
- Lack of parking
- Lack of reliable elevators
- Mold in the "wet" basement to the point where _I_ (who am not allergic to mold) couldn't stand to be in it.
- Surly staff.
- In Rosemont.
Did I mention that certain members of the staff had turned to augmenting their pay by stealing from the rooms?
I doubt the new hotel has shuttle service to O'Hare. None of the suburban hotels do.
