I do hope that our transactions aren't all about to become labor-intensive again. (Or, as my friend O. Shirley Knott is wont to ask, "Could all that labor we tried to save in the 20th century be hovering above the planet in a sullen karmic cloud, just waiting to seep back into our lives by saturating even our defenseless errands?")

I sense a profound economic insight about transactions-as-iterations lurking in there somewhere. I do believe I'll let it sleep. ;-)
