That Big Old Hole In My Leg

The antibiotics are improving the situation with the cellulitis, as the hole is getting smaller, although it's still oozing. (Yum!) Tomorrow, I have doctor's appointments with both the surgeon and Dr. Bob, at which point at least one of them will inform me of their plans for my future.

You know, at some level this is all very positive, as this has probably been a low-level drag on your health for some time; now that it's (ahem) come to a head, and it's being treated, you are closer to being done with it.

Sometime ask about my kid's periorbital cellulitis. He was just one year old. That was *really* yum . . .

Yeah; Christmas morning his eyelids were oddly red, Christmas night (in the middle of the night, of course) his eye was swollen shut and the size of a golf ball. They started IV antibiotics that night; he was in the hospital for four days. Haemophilus influenzae; they vaccinate against it but not till they're older... such a good time.
