Apparently, today was Katie's day to be a wild thing. By the time I got home, she was wearing only a diaper and waiting for her third outfit of the day which hadn't quite made it onto her due to her severe objections. I had already gathered that daisy_knotwise had had a trying day and offered to take her out for dinner when I called her on my way home. When I saw just how chaotic Katie was being, I suggested going to Sweet Baby Ray's, where the waitresses love her.

This worked out admirably. :)

Yes yes.. just wait. One day, you'll come home, a very harried woman will hand you the heir to your Empire and then she will walk out of the house without a word and not return for several hours.

Our Katy's SCA name was Kathryn the Chaotic. She apparently liked it -- she's now known far and wide as chaoswolf.

Your story reminds me of the day -- she was about 7 -- when we realized that it really wasn't worthwhile spending a couple of hours forcing her into a dress. The next time she wore one was her Junior Prom.

I hope your Katie is a lot less stubborn than ours is.
