Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright...
Jun. 27th, 2007 10:07 amLast night, I came upstairs and took Katie away from where she was making it awfully difficult for
daisy_knotwise to use the computer and into our bedroom to keep her occupied. She enjoyed bouncing around on the bed and climbing up "Mount Daddy". But then she crawled off toward the headboard.
Our headboard is a bookcase style with smooth sliding doors, which made it rather difficult as Katie levered her way up the slope, churning her little feet across Mommy's pillow, until she finally reached her full height, stuck one little hand into the air, and pulled down from the top of the surround sound speaker on the headboard the stuffed white tiger that Gretchen had given me.
This promptly became her new favorite toy. She chewed on it. She bounced on it. She rolled on it. It's about half her size, so this was pretty amusing to watch.
I think it's her tiger now. This is a good thing. Stuffed animals should be well loved by children.
Of whatever age.

But for all the cute piled upon cute in this story, all I find myself thinking is "is that the speaker that allows Gretchen to hear ol' Shelob sneaking up behind her?"
