catalana and I have tromped through Fry's, I have acquired a Panasonic PV-GS320 camcorder which means that I now have actual baby video. This was the nicest 3-CCD camcorder that worked with Mini-DV tape and sold for a reasonable price. I wanted the 3-CCD system, because it's reputedly quite good at low light levels. Based on my brief testing, this appears to be true.

Date: 2007-05-07 10:39 pm (UTC)I liked the theory behind Mini-DV cameras, but the implementation in the one that I got never seemed to work well enough. I am very intrigued by the springing up of flash memory-based video cameras, including one that will record in HD quality, and weighs less than a pount...amazing times we live in.
