Weekend Update

Saturday, I got to go to the Cubs/Sox game down at the Baseball Park Formerly Known As Comiskey, because Bob Tjarks, my baseball buddy and the manager at Gand, offered me his extra ticket. It was a pretty decent game save for the fact that the Cubs lost ignominiously. But we got to see lots of fireworks every time that a Cubs pitcher gave up a home run (that would be three times).

Sunday, Gretchen and I shot up to Milwaukee for Richard Letterman's 50th birthday party. This was fun and gave us a chance to chat with a bunch of people we don't see all that often.

Now we're back home and I'm checking the computer while Gretchen chats with her brother, Jeff, on the phone. When that's done, we need to do the pre-cleaning-lady cleanup, which will probably keep us busy until we collapse in bed.

Saturday, after trying to photograph dancing flowers" in the morning, I stopped at the camera store to see if they had any sage advice or any lenses I couldn't resist (they had neither), I saw Harry Potter, and I went to Best Buy to look at some electronics that I'd like but don't want to pay for.

Today I got very tired and footsore at EFRC. I'll write something about it in my journal after I read other people's journals, or maybe tomorrow if I can't stay awake.

My weekend consisted mainly of days beginning with "S". Also lots of reading, lots of comedy programmes on BBC 7 (digital radio channel), a certain amount of tummy-ache (not, sadly, due to laughing too much... =:o\ ), and just about enough sleep.

I choose to regard it as a good weekend, in that it ended with me well rested, and feeling that I hadn't wasted any more time than circumstances had forced me to. =:o}
