Not the Best New Trick

Katie seems to have learned how to crawl out of her baby seat when it's sitting in the stroller and she's not strapped in. This was not, perhaps, the new trick that we really wanted her to figure out.

No, she hasn't actually succeeded in crawling out yet, but she's getting closer...

*LAUGHS* I was just going to say that. Yes, the day you find her peeking up over the edge of your bed cause she's vaulted the side of her crib and came to find you.

Yes, she's only in the "inert pod" stage a short time. The days when you can leave her on a blanket in the living room and step into the kitchen for a drink and have her still on the blanket when you get back are fleeting.

My friend Roxanne has an 18 mo old who they've had sleeping in the Pac and Play since infancy. She can now climb out. Her husband woke up the other morning to find Yasmine perched on his chest, nose to nose, staring at him. Ya know, kinda like cats do in the morning when they're think wake up and feed me.
