Well, it looks like I really need to finish up mixing these two albums by the end of the weekend, because I'm scheduled for knee surgery on Friday, March 2nd. Yee haw!

Is this far enough out from FKO that it doesn't fall afoul of the "don't want you sitting in a car for long periods of time" issue that you mentioned earlier? Or have your convention plans changed?

No change, save that the doc wants to keep me on blood thinners until I'm done traveling.

Did they say if they were going to arthroscopic or open-knee? Based on the extent of your injury, I'd be surprised if they did arthroscopic.

Expect to be out for at least a week, maybe longer. I had arthroscopic ten years ago in March to remove some torn cartilage. The Percoset numbed me so much that I have very little memory of what I did the week after the surgery. And the exercises the PT gave me weren't fun, but I eventually got my mobility back.

In the meantime, hire some roadies to schlep your gear around. :)

The doc decided that I could travel -- possibly not easily, but that I could travel -- so I'm getting it done as soon as possible. I should be at FKO and Thing barring major complications.
