else out there thinks that Sylar can only absorb the abilities of a person by eating their (intact) brain? I say intact, because of the example of Eden. Blow your brain out, save the world...

And on another thought: Since Peter has Hiro's powers in him too, he should be able to roll back time and stop the shooting.

It's a tie-in to the watchmaking aspect of his native power: he can not only read other heroes' physical brain configurations but, once he comprehends them, can modify his own brain's layout the same way through willpower or telekenesis or whatever he used on the watches short of opening his own skull.
