What It Was Was Christmas

We crawled out of bed quite late this morning, started lunch, and opened our Christmas presents. I went out looking for a Chicago Tribune with no success -- apparently, someone, somewhere, determined that there was no actual need to deliver enough papers to the northwest suburbs today. And they wonder why circulation is down.

Other than that, it was a relaxed day. daisy_knotwise popped a roast in the oven for dinner and we're now thoroughly full. Tomorrow, the cleaning lady's coming, so we need to do a bit more cleanup tonight.

And even if Katie doesn't know it, it was a fine first Christmas for her.
