So, Gretchen and I watched the series finale for Frasier and enjoyed it. It was funny, well-written, and all of the things that we like about the show. Frasier going to a job in San Francisco was a bit of a surprise, as we'd thought he'd wind up in Chicago, and I'm not sure he'll ever get Charlotte, "the love of his life" as the ads said, out of Chicago, but maybe not knowing is a good way to leave it.

Then we watched ER. Ok, now we're thoroughly confused.

Dr. Galant (who Gretchen thought was serious eye candy) has been dispatched to Iraq and effectively written out of the series. Dr. Carter carried away his box o'stuff from the hospital with absolutely no comment that we saw. Does this mean that the producers hope to get him back for another season against all odds?

Neela's obviously going to find a way to come back, because otherwise she'd be staying at U of M. (Dermatology. Right.)

Neither of us believes that Sam is really gone, because someone's got to keep Kovac busy, and we don't think it's likely to be Abby.

The teasers led us to believe that Kerry was going to do something stupid. Apparently, not this season.

And Pratt and Chen are being fired upon on Lower Wacker. I hope he got the Autostick in that thing he's driving.

So, we're just counting the survivors...

Well, let's see.

Galant: Yup, off to Iraq (Actor is signed for next season, so I'm sure they'll do something, perhaps a remote storyline ala Luka and Carter in Africa)

Carter: Wyle's the flagship, he's signed till they pull the plug on the show. Remember.. all seasons of ER start with Carter arriving and end with Carter leaving.. I assume he's off to Africa with Kim to get over the loss of child.

Neela: Who knows?

Sam: Oh yeah, she'll be back, best thing they've added to the show. Course I think the character's an idiot. Don't run, get rid of the jerk. Call the cops (nice case of child endangerment); restraining order. Her running gives him the power.. bad move. Luka will hunt her and bring her back.

Pratt and Chen: Feh. Lame cliff hanger. Wonder who's signed their contracts for next year?

As to the teasers.. NBC is TERRIBLE at teasers, especially for ER. Every single teaser this season has been a red herring or a complete lie.

We still watch ER, but its hard to get as worked up about it as in the past.. gotten WAY too melodramatic. Now if you want to talk about the last epsiode of "West Wing" ! !

Actually, I understand that they had to twist Wyle's arm to get him to come back for this season. He asked for extra time off, which is one of the reasons they sent him to Africa for an extended stretch.

No, I don't think I'm watching anything on the B-channels. (aBc, cBs, nBc). No, I watch _This Week_ Sundays. I think the only other broadcast TV show I watch is _The Simpsons_, but FOX broke ranks on the naming convention.

Well, yes, we did. We know he went to visit Chicago to see Charlotte. But I don't think she knows he's coming yet. :)
