Mean Girls

billroperThe first performance of "Mean Girls" was over at the high school tonight and it came off pretty well, other than some technical problems with the sound. Basically, the problem was that the pit orchestra was loud enough acoustically that it was difficult to get the amplified sound from the actors' microphones over the top of it. The sound crew tried pushing the levels at the beginning of the show, but that just bought them a round of feedback.
Being an amateur sound engineer, I made several suggestions to K for workarounds that she may or may not pass along to her friend on the sound crew. And we'll see how it sounds tomorrow night, as they may think of some of the obvious things that I did (or something else altogether) to improve the balance. :)
But other than that, things were fine.
