Bits and Pieces

billroperI'm refactoring some code at work to try to get it to do all of the things that we want it to do. The difficulty is in trying to figure out which bits of the old code can be removed, as I wasn't the person who originally wrote this module. And I can't ask him questions about intent, because he died two years ago. I am at the point where I am going to remove some of the references and try to see if it affects anything, as it's possible that these things are simply redundant and are easily replaced by the new data that I'm putting in to replace them.
Maybe.
Meanwhile, I have some government paperwork that I'm trying to complete that requires me to dig through my file drawers. I really need to do that.
And the new bed frame for K's room arrived today, but she fell asleep early, so it is still downstairs in the shipping box and is likely to remain there until the weekend, because tomorrow I am taking the kids to the promised Lovejoy concert, while Thursday is a recital for the voice students over at the high school that K is part of.
Next week, I am hoping that time gets back to doing its job and prevents everything from happening at once. :)
