Yesterday's Good News

My ex-wife, Carol, sent this out on a fairly wide e-mail broadcast, so I don't think I'm compromising anything by letting folks here know:

Her husband, John, received a kidney transplant last weekend. So far, so good, but it does mean they won't be making it to Duckon this year. Of course, you've got to have priorities... :)

That did interesting things to our filk schedule, but you know what? I'm very much OK with that! I was glad to hear this and wish good things to John and Carol -- we'll see them at Duck next year!

Yikes! i hope all goes well! Pass on good wishes from me too!! I met John - well - ok I'd met him before I'm sure but... re-met? anyway - at DuCkon when I was GoH last year and he just seems really nice and they seemed delightfully happy. Always good to see.
