We have a jade plant that we've had for some time. One of the problems with that is that they can become quite large, which is what this particular jade plant has done. They also can be easily broken, which is also what this particular jade plant has done, so we have a large, but lopsided jade plant. This was made worse by the fact that it was in a pot that was too small and too light so that the plant desperately wanted to topple over, which is not good for this heavy, fragile plant.
I went to Home Depot a while back and found a new pot for the jade plant which was slightly larger, more cylindrical, and much heavier. (Also pretty, Gretchen adds.) Today, I moved the jade plant to the kitchen island so that Gretchen could repot it. It is now much more stable and much happier looking in the new pot.
I also moved the aloe vera plant back into the living room now that Christmas is well and truly over, so the jade plant gets the window in the family room all to itself. It looks better that way. :)
