Bits and Pieces

So did I get all of the things done that I intended to get done today? Well, no.

But I did make a (small) start on placing the CD orders for Worldcon. I need to finish tomorrow, but I've printed out the inventory list, which is the data that I need to make this happen.

I also installed the new flag pole bracket on the front porch, replacing the one that broke off in a storm on Independence Day. And I installed the new dairy bin in the refrigerator, replacing the one that K broke last month. (The lid on the old bin didn't fall down when not held up. Gretchen and I had lightly smacked it into the refrigerator door frame without incident. K closed the door with a great deal more vigor, it seems. The lid on the new bin falls down if not held up. Yay!)

And I had a nice lunch with Gretchen. At a restaurant with plates and everything, where they bring the food to you. :)

More to do tomorrow, of course.

There is a real pleasure in a nice meal that you didn't have to cook, nor do you need to clear the table afterwards. (I almost said "or put away leftovers" but depending on the size of the restaurant servings, that's potentially still called for.)
