Unlike many of my friends, Gretchen and I are looking forward to the arrival of Daylight Saving Time with great anticipation. Neither of us are morning people (sunrise is for the birds) and the extra hour of daylight in the evening is a wonderful gift, giving us time to get out and enjoy some of the day after I finish work. I find the early sunsets of winter to be sad, as the day completely escapes before work ends, but once Daylight Saving Time arrives, there's sunshine in my life, despite the best efforts of my co-workers on the West Coast.

Daylight Saving Time makes living on the eastern edge of the time zone pretty tolerable. :)

I'd be quite happy to live on the one-hour-ahead timezone all year round. It's the changes that mess with my day. They mess me up for a week or so every time...

I have always enjoyed the way the time changes shift patterns of daylight in the day as well. I usually adjust within a couple days. I wonder if there is some adjustment practice some of us follow that others don't, that affects how we feel about it.

Daylight Wasting Time is so hard for me, the short days are hard enough without it. It's such a relief to get back to saving a precious resource.
