I haven't had a chance to talk with the independent repair shop to see if there's some chance that they can actually repair my Apollo interface while Universal Audio is closed for COVID. If they need parts, the whole enterprise could be distinctly dicey.

After thinking about it for a while, I decided that even if they *can* repair the unit, picking up one of the Focusrite Scarlett rackmount USB interfaces was probably a good idea. It would certainly simplify field recording, if and when field recording becomes possible again.

What do you mean, out of stock?

"Out of stock" is flavour of the month just about anytime I go shopping for anything a little unusual, especially given the seriously skewed demands the present situations have caused. Some small enterprises seem to have managed to keep going, perhaps because they have small enough units that they've managed to keep themselves clear of the worst of the disruptive elements (be it virus or fire) but others havn't been so lucky. Good hunting...
