My Dog Is Strange

I was reminded of Ruby's unusual dining habits after I went out to refill the indoor container with dog food. It was a new bag, so most of it went into the container in the garage. And it was a flavor Ruby hadn't encountered before, because I try to mix it up to keep her from getting bored.

I put two scoops of dog food in her dish and went to sit in my chair. And then I watched as Ruby would take a mouthful of dog food, carry it from her dish to the rug next to the back door, drop it on the rug, and pick up a bit at a time and chew it while looking out the back door. It's something she does pretty regularly.

I guess it's a doggy TV dinner.

We set up Casey's bowls where she could see through the patio door while eating, and she didn't like it when we closed the blinds.

The cats get annoyed with us when we move their bowls away from the window. (The bowls are up on a bench by the window, originally to keep Casey from eating cat food.)
