Not So Much a GAFilk Report As...

But we got back from GAFilk just fine (although riding in airline seats is one way to encourage Gretchen and I to lose some weight). We had a good time at the con, save for my being hopped up on antihistamines because of an inadvertant case of sulfite-poisoning from the stew Gretchen made on Wednesday. (We're assuming that's what it was. The spice mix says "lemon juice powder" and lemon juice is frequently sulfited, even though the label didn't reflect that.)

We had a chance to make some music, chat with friends -- not as much as we might have liked, but there's a lot going on, even at a relaxacon -- and take a weekend off from being filthy hucksters. These are good things.

Hi Bill - well met ! - I'm spinning your CD now - great - really enjoying it! I'm kind of reminded of John Sebastian (you know from the Lovin Spoonful) of whome I'm a big fan.
You're right we do have a similar taste in chords.

It was great to see you at GAfilk, even if we didn't get to chat nearly enough for my tastes. (But when do we ever?) And I definitely didn't hear you enough, since we kept ending up in different filk rooms.

But at least we broke the 2 a.m. singing tradition this con...*grin*

Well, this is kinda scary. I now remember having seen you. Once. On stage. I remember what you and Gretchen sang was funny. I have no recollection of the details, though I know I was working on my quilt block at the time.

Maybe I wasn't so conscious as I had thought. Or maybe I was more CONscious than I'd realized.
