billroperA friend of mine posted on Facebook that an alert had gone out that there was a pre-supernova event that had been detected coming from the direction of Betelgeuse. Sadly, it turns out that it was a false alarm. A test message had been generated that shouldn't have been sent out to the whole list.
No big bright supernova today.
